Dr. Alfred Ramirez has over 25 years of experience in higher education, over 8 years of counseling experience, and experience teaching at a university as an adjunct professor for 15 years. He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. He has a doctorate in Educational Leadership and his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees are in counseling. He has two grown sons and one grandson.
His parents migrated from Mexico with his sister and two brothers. Alfred was the youngest child, born in Los Angeles. Growing up less than a mile away from downtown Los Angeles, the neighborhoods were old and run by gangs. Learning how to survive the streets was a requirement and life choices were made with limited guidance.
As a Latino male, Alfred was brought up with values of hard work and respect. Even so, he dropped out of college to work a low-wage job and started a family. Alfred was defined by the data of many Latino males. With hard work and respect, life was average. Alfred then met a mentor who guided his thoughts to evaluate himself as a person and set goals. These ideas helped create a change (CAMBIO) to look within, evaluate himself, and set goals. He wants to share this insight and provide a method for all Latino males to realize their potential.
“My success was delayed and I realize that there are many young men who are slowed down from achieving their goals. This is why I created a new program which I call a philosophy called CAMBIO. My goals were clarified later in life. With CAMBIO, you can do it NOW! Join me on this journey where you can start to change your life today!” – Alfred Ramirez
